I wanted a travel set that looked nice and held onto the magnetic pieces better than the brand-X cheapo set we have. The board and pieces are crafted very well and are quite attractive for their size. The drawer that slides out is clever and clicks into position while inside to prevent it from accidentally slipping out.While I expected the pieces to be small, their size was surprisingly tiny. The pawns were so small and light that I felt like I could hardly hold on to them. My hands are not especially large, but I could hardly move pieces without bumping the other pieces.The main problem however is that while the magnets are strong enough to hold onto the board, as the description says, they ALSO very easily stick to one another when moving the pieces around, pulling the other pieces off of their spaces. I never even went through a first game, since just setting them up was such a challenge due to this.3 stars for being attractively crafted, but not very functional.
