I have been using Photon brand lights for decades with great results. They basically invented this type of light and they have perfected it. Similar looking lights are available everywhere and cheap, but they don’t have the quality of these. Well worth the purchase for something that is reliable. Also nice that it is feature rich with dimming, etc. I really like that it can be turned on either at its brightest setting or its dimmest-- the two most useful modes. And the various flashing modes are "hidden," so you don't ever have to scroll through them if you don't need them. The button is large and easy to press with good tactile feedback. Glare from back scatter is well controlled by the opaque case.You can wear one of these on a cord around your neck while sleeping, which is very helpful for midnight wandering when camping or staying in hotels, etc. Or perfect on a key chain or as a zipper pull on a jacket. Alone in a pocket, they are so small they are unnoticeable. Us "experienced" folks can use them to read a menu in a dark restaurant.I like this model better than Photon's other, more expensive models. These are not really bigger, but the big switch seems easier to use and the scallops in the case make it easier to hold.
