This is my second pair!!! Hope these last as long as the first!!!I live in these year round in my kayak . fishing for bass in all conditions......Full season of paddle boarding and river scrambling. Best shoes I've found for this to date!! Two things would make them better for me. 1. stronger heel pull tabs- in wet environmens these cannot be overbuilt. I'm talking quadruple stiched kevlar that extends under the footbed :) 2. Larger and strategically placed drainage holes that allow tiny pebbles to escape. Water drainage is great but sand/tiny pebbles will have you taking the shoes off more than you'd like. B+ and best in class. Fingers crossed for continued improvements.Comfortable and great in the water.Fit - As far as fitting to normal shoe size these are fine, I am an 11. The only thing I have found is the “widest” part of my foot feels a little tight when I first put them on. After about 5-10 min of wear they seem to stretch enough that I don’t notice it any more. Grip is as advertised so far and after the very initial “stretch” they are great.Nice, well made water shoe with a grippy sole. But it’s short for its width. That may work for you, but if you don’t have stubby little toes I’d guess not. That’s always the problem, isn’t it? Small companies make products that fit their CEO and no one else :/Since it’s a water shoe, there’s not a lot of cushioning. You’re going to be happiest if you wear a neoprene or thick wool sock (or both), and probably an insole if you intend to hike very far. That means adventure boaters and canyoneers will need to invest more energy in fitting than strict whitewater kayakers.I bought these because a friend of mine wears them for sailing and I like the style. I have wide toes and usually wear Altra shoes for the wide toe box. These have a nice wide toe box, but the forefoot is actually quite narrow. They're very tight width wise on the ball of my foot. I'm giving them to my friend because he wears the same size.Grip was great, quality seems excellent. I like the nylon liner. They just don't fit my feet.I bought from Amazon for ease of return. Needless to say, that won't be happening. I thought these were just hype. Nope! They are the real deal. They grip like nothing I have ever wore in the water. Very happy so far
