Pros:+ This case holds a Denon X1800 mixer securely.I had my mixer in this case while stacked on top of speakers and an amp box and other gear on a rolling cart for a gig. Unfortunately there was a gap in the path between the sidewalk and the pavement which caught the wheel of my cart. Everything toppled over and this case was at the peak of it all. One of the speakers landed on this case and the speaker grille dented badly. The case held up fine with some scratches. I set up at the gig and the mixer worked perfectly.+ this case has a similar size to my Denon SC5000M flight case (Odyssey). Side by side they look close enough. They almost stack on each other perfectly.Cons:- There is not enough space behind the Denon X1800 to stay inside the case and have wires plugged in to the back of the mixer. Maybe if your mixer was 3 or 4 inches shorter, it would work for you. Instead I take the mixer out of the case, take the case apart, set the lid down, and place the mixer on top of the case. Yes it takes longer, but it is better than having my mixer angled up just to get plugged in. Also the cable cutout is a nice idea but far from usable in my case.- Support on the above issue is to use 90 degree adapters (which is impossible with two XLR right under my IEC).- No free returns. Ended up keeping the case since I've banged it up and I need my gear every weekend.- The included foam is way too big for a full size mixer such as a Denon X1800. I used the included small velcro foam on the side of the mixer as there is a slight gap there. The big foam block on top is removed along with the long foam bars. I'd recommend using leftover foam from a Pelican case or similar and place a few small chunks on your mixer (to protect the knobs and sliders).All in all it is a good case for protecting your gear during transportation. If it can withstand a fall from 8 feet with a heavy mixer inside, it will handle tossing it in a vehicle or bumping into things. If you really want to have your gear stay in the case and have space for your wires to go, check out their larger case I believe it is 22" x 17" or so. I bought this since it would fit the Denon X1800, (it does) but I was slightly disappointed when it had 1/2" available in the back near the I/O ports. A bit more disappointed when I realized there was no free returns on this item. Both of these downfalls were my own and I won't hold that against this product. I am happy with this case and it sure beats bringing the original mixer box and foam to gigs.
