I have been a tow truck driver for 7 years. I learned the hard way to get a decent flashlight that is rechargable or has rechargable batteries relatively quickly. I have been through every cheaper brand there is, coast, costco brand, duracell, mag light, etc etc. I have a couple that I like and have used for years (believe it or not the 2 pack at costco called "security light" that was $40 has been one of my favs and lasted 2 years now) and have always looked at splurging on a fenix or nightcore etc flashlight. Several black fridays and xmas etc have gone by and I never pulled the trigger to buy one. Finally for my birthday recently I bit the bullet and bought one.HOLYF'INGMOLYThis light is BAD A$$. Not only is it the brightest flashlight I have ever seen in my life but the memory to return to the same brightness you had it on by using the on/off tail switch is JUST WHAT I NEEDED!!!! I hate having to cycle through the brightness of my other flashlights when I turn them on just to get to low. This Fenix flashlight is rain proof (already tested many times) drop proof (shes got a fair amount of dings and I wince every time I drop her but she takes it like a champ) and is USB C rechargable and came with an extra battery and belt clip. The belt clip is extremely well made but slightly bulky so I only ever used it once. I just throw the flashlight in my jacket pocket as I go through out my shift. Anyone in the tow industry, first responder, police, fire fighter, etc BUY THIS ASAP if you have been looking for an AMAZING flashlight. The top brightness setting on this flaslight LITERALLY turns NIGHT into DAY. You cannot shine this at your hand and look at your hand or you will blind yourself. You can feel the heat from the beam and literally see it unlike any other flashlight I have ever used. Now the only think I am possibly worried about with this flashlight is the heat while on max brightness. It gets hot QUICK and I have been using it in winter temps (30-40ish). It even has a warning sign on the outer brim saying caution it will get hot. So when summer comes along I am worried that will be a bigger issue than it is now. I rarely use it on the max setting (usually the 2nd/3rd setting out of 5) so hopefully it wont be a problem.I love that the second button on the tail is for the strobe, so I also feel safe using it as an EDC flashlight. Anyone dumb enough to come at you with this strobing in their face will surely be eating the pavement from disorientation and/or a follow up from your concealed carry if it really comes down to it. The flashlight also has the raised/slightly sharpened outer edges around the lens which I'm assuming is for self defense as most flashlights have these days.Out of all the flashlights I have owned and I have owned A LOTTTTTT. This is by FAR the best purchase I have ever made! I kick myself in the ass for not buying this a LONG time ago!THANK YOU FENIX!!!!!
