I was disappointed with these shorts. They have a cheap, papery feel, and the beaded grips at the base of the legs are annoying - I don't understand why they thought that was a good feature; leg hair and rubbery bead grips don't mix. I really liked the look of them, but they simply aren't comfortable. For what it's worth, I'm 180 lbs with a 33" waist and the XL fits... and now it's going back to amazon. Top-end Zoot and Castelli shorts are a better option. 2XU makes decent shorts as well. I will add that I own many other TYR products that I'm pleased with - from goggles to swim jammers to a wetsuit. I guess their design team was having a bad day with these tri shorts.
