I have used this piano in my Music classroom for 3 years to introduce my students to the grand staff and its application on the instrument. It's really only useful for that purpose, and to teach basic hand positions. It has 49 keys, which allows for only the most basic songs (which has been fine and actually perfect for my class due to the amount of space available), and the keys are more or less the correct width of a piano, so students can actually feel the correct distance of intervals.BUT the sound of the piano is terrible, the max volume is very low, the keys are not touch sensitive so the piano can't play dynamics, and it breaks EXTREMELY easily (headphone port stops working, some keys stop playing, the hinge snaps in two from even a small distance fall, and other various glitches). Still, that has been acceptable until now because the pianos have been $60. My school has graciously continued to replace broken pianos over the years (and there have been MANY).But to increase the price from $60 to $130?!! More than DOUBLE the price? This is RIDICULOUS. I'm FURIOUS. We have provided so much business to this company, and it may have been selling out of these pianos from my school's bulk purchases alone. And I've also recommended the piano to students of mine who are looking for an affordable option for starting out at home (many of our families are under-privileged, and can't afford much more than $60, if they can even afford that). Now, we will have to seek more reasonable options. Just another greedy company screwing over loyal customers, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point.
