Despite my cons listed below, I think this little light is really an excellent value.Battery life & range:- From full charge, indoors & facing up at ceiling on "High", the light remained at full brightness for 1 hour, 20 minutes before starting to dim. The on/off switch then turned from green to red. Over the next 15 minutes, the only useful light it could give off came from adjusting the beam to narrow. At the 1 hour, 35 minute mark, the light shut off. All in all, this is great performance considering how intense the light is on high.Other Pros:- Range: The beam can be "zoomed" in/out. Wide = plenty of light over a broad area (lit up my 10' x 10' patio no problem). Narrow: I could illuminate the back of a neighbors house 600 feet away well enough to cast a shadow from his dog out back onto the house.- Weather sealing is an O-ring used at end cap. Weather and water resistant: Yes. Waterproof: No.- Easy to use without unnecessary modes (High, Low, Strobe, Off). See pic of instructions on how to access the SOS mode. I like that it is bypassed by default in the normal switch cycle.- Very compact.- Battery life and light performance is just stellar.Cons:- Battery used is a 1500 mAh, 18650 lithium, 3.7 volt. It is not user replaceable in this light. I pulled off the charge port assembly to reveal the battery (see pic). The battery ends are soldered to wires attached to the little circuit board/carrier, and all are fragile.- Charge “port” is a male Usb-A. Of course this is known when you order one, but forces you to use a M to F Usb extension cable to a power brick, or otherwise plug it into one vertically so as not to strain the charge port connector. Not overly convenient. It does not come with a charge cable.I’m on the hunt for a version of this light without the cons listed above, but as for the performance of this light, it is going to be hard to beat. In 30 plus years of compulsively buying flashlights of all kinds, this one clearly stands out as my favorite compact light in this price range right now.This is a very small and quite lightweight flashlight. It will be good for me to take on my travels, where I often need a flashlight for visiting archaeological sites and such where there is no electric lighting.My favorite feature is that it can be very easily recharged using any USB port, with or without a cable. I can plug the flashlight directly into my home power strip’s USB port (no cable required). When traveling, I can plug it into my USB “out” port of my portable power bank without a cable or, for convenience, use the power bank with a cable.The only downside to that is because of the rechargeable battery, the flashlight will need to go in my carry-on luggage.The light is quite bright and can cover a fairly wide area, or it can be adjusted for a brighter light over a smaller area. The brightest light is available when the light is narrowed to a small beam; when the flashlight is opened wider, the light is nowhere near as bright, but still much brighter than a typical flashlight.One feature that I am mildly concerned about is the power button. It is a soft button on the side of the flashlight. I am worried that if I carry it in a backpack or whatever that it can be bumped and powered on and drain power.The flashlight has three power levels that are cycled through pressing the on/off power button. They are (1) “high,” which is the one I imagine most people will use; (2) “medium,” which is quite dim and more what I would call “low”; and (3) the annoying “strobe,” for which I have never had a use. You can also hold the power button down to enable the “SOS” mode, which uses long and short bursts of light for the Morse code SOS signal.This is a great miniature flashlight. I’ve had it for a little over a month and still have not had to charge it. It’s all in one encapsulated. It is extremely bright, don’t point it at your friends eyes they will be blinded for a moment. Works great for camping, or for searching in those dark areas around your house when you’ve lost that special thing.The light is very bright, and the ease of recharging it is awesome. I love it. New bedside light for me. I take it when traveling as well. I highly recommend.This BigCheck Mini Flashlight is small, but it packs a 1500 lumen LED light, inside it’s matt black aluminum shell. I like that it is small enough to fit in my sweatshirt pocket. If you push the power button, on the side, once, you get a very bright light. Two clicks gives a dimmer light, and three clicks turns on the strobe light, which is pretty freaky. Holding the power button for two seconds, from any mode, including off, turns on the SOS blinking light. That’s pretty cool!I had a little trouble getting the cap off the end, opposite of the light (the end with the wrist strap). I was pulling and turning, but it wouldn’t budge. My husband was able to easily twist it off and I was, too, after I saw him do it. All you have to do is turn it counterclockwise. Once the cap is off, it reveals the USB plug that can be plugged directly into a USB port. There is no cord to keep track of. When you plug this BigCheck Mini flashlight into a USB port, the power button, on the side, blinks red. When fully charged, it turns green. This is a great little flashlight. I did not find any cons.
