This thing just survived a motorcycling journey to England. It was my carry on and worked great even in the smallest overheads of the puddle jumpers. It was waterproof riding through 1k miles of rainy England weather, tied to the bike easily, and even survived an accident with little to no damage or abrasion. Definitely recommend it for travel motorcycle use.Cons: It could really use some extra pockets on the exterior of the bag (perhaps on the ends where it wouldn't interfere with folding the enclosure. Using this as a carry on, made it so I didn't have anywhere to put my wallet, phone, and passport when passing through Airport security leaving me very anxious having to put those articles directly in a bin where anyone could grab them. It also could really use longer carrying handles. It uses a Velcro and snap wrap to connect the two carry handles together for comfortable carrying. I kept running into the issue where although the bag would close and had plenty of slack in the cinch downs, the handles were not long enough for the handle wrap to close properly. It was rather annoying and one of the reasons I dropped a star from my review. The other issue is the end D rings are on the bottom side of the bag, which was great for clipping my second bag to for tie down, but didn't work at all for use with the shoulder strap as the bag was continuously flipping upside down. The only way to use the shoulder strap was to clip it at an angle across the bag to two of the top side loops. This proved to be kind of an awkward carrying angle for the bag.Lots of space!! Keeps everything dry as a desert. Super easy to use. Great for going to and from work on your motorcycle in the rainy PNW.Update: I just used it this friday (1/6/17) to take some clothing donations up to Vancouver, BC, Canada (in freezing winter temperatures) to a good friend who lost her house and belongings to a fire on Christmas eve. I had it packed full with two large trash bags worth of clothing for her and her son. I was surprised at how much I fit in there. When I emptied it out at the motel she was in, the stacks of clothing inside that bag covered the whole queen size bed. And everything was dry and still stacked. Thank you Gear Out Here USA for such an amazing product. I HIGHLY recommend this bag if you need something that can hold a lot or a little and be taken out in all weather conditions. And I use it on my motorcycle. Other duffel bags don't compare. This is top of the line, high quality. You won't be disappointed.I purchased this bag earlier this summer, but waited to write a review until I made a couple of extended trips with it. It has plenty of attaching points, so I was able to devise a system that held the bag securely to the frame as if it were part of the bike. Packed inside was clothing, camping gear, rain gear & riding gear, so access to the contents of the bag without removing it from the bike was essential. Not only was access to the bag quick & easy, it performed its main function - keeping everything dry - flawlessly, through heavy rain, wind, and hail. This is the third luggage system I've tried for mc touring, and by far the best. It replaced two bags from the previous system. The bag has been used for a short 3 day 1200 mile trip and a longer 24 day 7500 mile trip. I would recommend this to any motorcycle tourer. A great value. This is a great bag. Just finished a 9 day motorcycle trip through some very rainy days and all my clothes stayed dry! I purchased the 75l and it was a perfect size to hold a week+ worth of clothes with room to spare. I had it on the luggage rack of my motorcycle and my clothes remained dry even during a thunderstorm. There are loops attached for holding this bag on a rack- i did not attach directly to the loops but ran my straps through them and around the entire bag and rack... kept the bag very securely fastened even at top speeds of 80mph.There does seem to be a little wear starting on the end, only time will tell holds up, but overall it seems sturdy.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I felt the material might not be as long lasting as some other dry bags. This is probably because this bag is also much lighter than other bags. This is still a great dry duffel bag though. I used it on my adventure bike for a couple nights and it even has reflective strips on the outside. The D-rings are plastic but were strong enough. Over all its light weight and HUGE. So big in fact I returned it because I couldn't pack it down tight enough to fit well on the seat behind me. Weight is less of an issue for me because I'm not carrying it through back country but I'd still consider the 45L version of this bag. The outside pockets were nice too.So in what might be the ultimate test for this bag, I bought it to take with me as my main luggage piece for a 20day motorcycle ride across the US. I researched it quite extensively before I bought it obviously as I'd be up a creek if it failed. The verdict - it held up to driving rain, sleet, snow and the occasional hail shower with zero leakage. Also it is really robust and can take a pounding from being dropped and dragged. And lastly it has sufficient straps and buckles so I could secure it to my bike really securely - trust me you don't want it shifting when riding a sharp curve ! Where I think there is some room for improvement is in the velcros at the opening - not the best lines up I don't think, would've liked a heavy duty zipper as well but this is more like traditional dry bags - ie you fold over the top and strap it down. Works beautifully.Really researched this before buying this, and I was not disapppointed, Took it camping, it was pretty rainy, adn the tent leaked a timey bitm with a puddle forming right under the bag, Also got left out during a hike, directly in the rain.no leaks, everything dry as a bone. I actuallly prefer the roll down and straps to a zipper. The opening is HUGE, for easy access, I actually used packing cubes to keep things organized ( another new for me, but loved them!) Worked beautifullly with the bag. It appears well made, but has only been on one rough trip. so will see how it does next year. I will update if any issues, So far, so good.i dont really understna dthe people that had diffiuclty wiht the shoudler strap, worked fine for me,This is a great duffel for motorcyclists. It is totally waterproof, ultra lightweight and extremely strong. I fit it in line with the rear passenger seat and over the tail rack using a pair of 12-42" ROK straps, each threaded through the bag's D rings. It's quick and easy to mount and dismount, is 100% secure on your bike and creates little wind resistance. It is a good size to securely mount the bag across the tail rack too, leaving room for additional rolls like a sleeping bag or tent. It has ample capacity for a long weekend trip or coupled with panniers good for a long trip.Personally, I prefer this waterproof duffel to panniers because it is so quick to mount/dismount: far less faffing around.Wanted a bag to go on the roof of my car as I a small one which is filled with people and dogs! wanted it to be large enough to be useful, small enough to be practical, and waterproof.Ordered 2 of these bags as they had a crazy discount but was skeptical to say the least. Need not have worried they are great. Nice and easy to load as the top opens up completely and oh so easy to close and "lock-down".Bunged them on the top and away we went. These are great value and really top quality bags.I bought this bag for multi-day motorcycle trips. There are specific "motorbike duffel bags" from companies like Oxford, etc, and while they are good, they offer no extra value or features, at a much higher price. This bag is great, seems to be made of really high quality materials and with good finishing. It holds lots of stuff but thanks to the closing mechanism it can be folded down to smaller size when partially empty, and it will not flap about. I used it on several trips including in pouring rain and has always remained 100% waterproof. I bought it more than a year ago and still looks as new. Highly recommended. I always strap to the bike with ROK adjustable straps which are also excellent.I was looking for a waterproof bag to strap onto my motorcycle when i go camping. There are bags design specifically for this purpose but very expensive. I saw this which was on offer and it does the job perfectly. It's neat, tidy and compact when the roll top is down. Excellent value. Quality products.Used to keep my camping equipment dry on the back of my motorcycle. This bag is incredibly strong and big enough to keep all my camping kit secure and dry. It folds down and clips closed so the bag does not have to be full to be fully secure. It is extremely waterproof and I have never had any water ingress into the bag, even when riding through a downpour.
