I've struggled to find compression stockings--thigh high, panty hose, etc--to help alleviate the pain in my legs from varicose veins. Thigh highs won't stay up-I've tried everything suggested and some I came up with. I can only wear 10-15 compression-the higher compression hurts more than the veins do, which is considerable. So I came up with wearing my knee high compression hose with these capris. Works great. I can't say these are 10-15 compression, because I don't know. They don't hurt, so they can't be higher than 10-15. They do work great, though. The severe pain has been alleviated. I still have to take pain pills--the combo takes much of the edge off the severe pain. Another thing I noticed was that the back doesn't creep down when sitting down like jeans can and some other very snug pants-knit or woven. The back stays where it was before sitting down.
