So we ended up deciding to just use aluminum for the larger sprockets and high-strength steel for the smaller sprockets to balance strength, weight and durability. Install the lock ring on the hub Align the thread of the lock ring with the thread of the hub and screw in. Step 3. Tighten Tighten the locking ring with the cassette installation tool.Torque is 30 - 50 N·m.
