I got this to carry my daughter (48lbs) since she’d grown out of the Deuter pack we used to have. Every so often we’ll be on a hike and her legs will be too tired to carry on so it’s nice to have the option. It fit great we made it about a mile into our hike and our 8 year old GSD (90lbs) decided she wasn’t up for the rest of the trip. We headed back down and about half a mile from the trail head she decided she could not in fact go on. After posting up by the side of the trail for 20min while she rested and languished in self pity because how dare I take her into the outdoors, I realized the only way to get her down was in the pack. Neither party was thrilled. I wouldn’t recommend it but I will say the pack is hella sturdy and will carry your kiddo comfortably.Just what we were looking for to take our 15 month old on hikes. He can obvi walk on flatter trails but it’s nice to offer a rest when he gets tired or the terrain steepens. The only cons are that even though my son is tall for his age, the pouch is pretty high so even at 32” tall my sons head was completely inside the backpack and he couldn’t see out. Also, at 5’ 3” myself, the backpack is the entire length of my torso which made it awkward to use, but on my 6’ tall husband it worked quite well. All in all, my son liked it and fell asleep in it the first time we used it. Will be great as he grows and would work well if you are tall.Perfect for my 2 year old who outgrew his baby carrier. Supportive, comfortable, and easy to useI chose this carrier because it would arrive the day before our flight (one day shipping). The item arrived with stains, a bobby pin, and obviously not in new condition. If my flight wasn't leaving in a few hours and we weren't moving out of country, I would have returned it. When I contacted Amazon upon receipt, they let me know it came directly from Lilliebaby and was only shipped by Amazon. Not sure who is to blame, but the fact is that the quality control is lacking and this was a disappointing first experience with the Lilliebaby brand. That is the reason for my three stars. Otherwise, I fell in love with the carrier and used it throughout my 36 hour travel with my two year old. It's really comfortable to wear with your kid on your back. Breathes nicely, lightweight, great for hiking and everyday use.We loved itI have nothing but spectacular things to say about this carrier. We bought it when our son was 10 months old and have used it at least 200 times for beach walks, ocean swims, and hiking. He is currently is almost three years old (45 lbs) and it remains in perfect shape. The pack is much, much more comfortable on the back than our Chicco brand hiking backpack. It’s also very easily adjustable for all body types and many of our family and friends have used it with him. Additionally, it’s all fabric and machine washable, so I can take our son in the ocean and swim with him securely on my back, which was a huge bonus when he was too little to swim on his own. The only downside for the pack would be the front carrying position and the “saddle” side position, in my opinion. When he was an infant/teeny toddler I tried both positions but he couldn’t get comfortable in either one because his hips and thighs weren’t wide enough. I will say that carrying a larger toddler or preschool child is amazing with this pack. I highly recommend. If anyone working with the product is reading this- please add a cell phone pocket and/or water bottle pocket to the waist band (Thank you in advance for future customers).I've received this nearly a week ago and my 2.5 year old has loved it from the start. She keeps asking to go on mummy's back! There are two things that bother me slightly and that's why I've deducted a star: (1) when carrying her on my back, the buckle that joins the two shoulder straps together is too high up and is not very comfortable (I've tried all manners of adjustments and it's no good) and (2) the shoulder straps are too padded under my arms so it makes me walk with them away from the body which is also not very pleasant. These two issues aside, it's comfy for her (she's quite tall and heavy) and for me. I'm used to a woven wrap which I still prefer for front and hip carries, but this one is perfect to carry her for longer periods on my back. The carrier is beautifully made. I haven't used the hood but it looks big enough for a toddler. What I would love, and for the price was expecting, was a carry bag. It's quite bulky to fit in my purse. This is our second Lillebaby carry on (we also have a tokidoki iconic). We got a second one as we now have two toddlers (2 1/2 and 3 1/2) and find these more convenient than having a pushchair on days out. They can walk but easily rest when they get tired. Both the children and my husband love the donuts and sprinkles. The older toddler asks to ride in the donuts now if he's tired. I have no issue with carrying either of them for 2-3 hours at a time and with practice both my husband and I can easily get a child on our back with no help much to the amazement of others who watch.I bought this for my autistic son as i thought it would be easier than the woven wrap i used for my other kids as babies/toddlers. It's not. It's very fiddly and near impossible to use with a child who won't stay still. Once on i didn't feel it took a lot of the weight like my woven wrap does so ended up with a sore back. It's not the worst carrier I've used by any means and its a good size (my sons 4 and has plenty room) i just wish it offered more support and was easier to put on by yourselfI have waited a while to write a review so I would be completely sure..Here is my 5 cent worth'1. Comfort, this model is absolutely a must for mommies with toddlers. It is gentle for my back and lower back. The back support does make a difference. Believe Me!2. Cost, although a bit expensive but worth every penny. It is the best investment for toddlers 12 months and above.3- Travel, the LILLEbaby is the best convenient and easy to have when travelling. No strollers any more in airports. My LO loves it and he still likes to sit in it. Totally recommend itIf you have a toddler who still likes to be worn, this is perfect. The wider base and back means they have more support. You still get all the amazing features of Lillebaby (like the lumbar support). The mesh is great for all seasons. So light but supportive. Love it! It is my fourth Lillebaby.
