Look no further, seriously stop looking this is for sure the flashlight! I've taken it to the beach numerous times and on other little trips and the battery life along with the brightness are incredible like INCREDIBLE, my kids always want it, you literally could be a light house I mean this thing shines at a pretty good distance and then you twist the lense area to have the light just in your area lighting roughly 12 ft radius all around you it's awesome. One of my favorite toys hahaha.My son (11) took this on a Scout camping trip. He was very pleased with how well it worked!Flashlight is heavy duty but a little larger than expected. It's super bright and the zoom feature works well at long distances. Built in cross hair is kinda cool.My old flashlight is the Fenix TK20R which has a max output of 1000 lumens. This flashlight is comparable to it considering that I paid about $90 about 5 yrs ago and the Fenix is much slimmer. So, if you don't mind the larger head than this is the unit for you.I needed a dependable and very bright flashlight for when I take the dogs out at night. We have lots of wildlife around, especially deer, and since we don't have a fenced yard I'm afraid they might run off after them. So I like to go out first and see what's around the yard before letting the dogs out. I've purchased so many flashlights throughout the last few years it's ridiculous, but this one seems to be a really great one. The light is very bright when on the high mode and I like how easy it is to zoom in and out. I kinda wish there wasn't the flash mode (just personal preference tho, others might find it handy), but other than that I highly recommend it.We have multiple flashlights but this one puts the rest to shame! The distance and brightness are GREAT!!I love this flashlight. I love that you can recharge it and don't have to buy more batteries.I bought this to take my dog out at night when she needs to go do her business. We don't have a fenced yard & live in the foothills where we have coyotes & sometimes bears so we always go out with her. It's very dark so we needed a very bright flashlight to see into the wooded areas and to keep an eye on her. This works great. It has 3 brightness settings plus the SOS flashing. The low brightness is even brighter than most flashlights. We used the flashlight for a few weeks before needing to recharge. We don't use it much at each time so it does last a long time. Very happy with this purchase. It's built good, sturdy and has an aluminum shield around the light that says you can use to break a windshield in case of a car accident. We hope to never use that part.I liked it so much I bought a second one
