Great QualityAfter my recent surgery, I left the Hospital with 2 of these Bras in Black. I ordered 2 Additional Bras, but in a lighter color. Can't exactly explain how, but these new ones aren't as comfortable as the Black ones I received from my Dr upon discharge.This bra has been pretty good so far. I started wearing it 8 days after my BA. It fits great but the only thing I'm not a fan of now is that the ribbon edge of the bra is uncomfortable around my armpits. It's not too tight but kind of hurts. It may be because I'm sore in that area though and anything rubbing in that particular area would hurt right now. I'm gonna give it a few more days to see how it works. I like how it dips in the front and doesn't make it look like you have a uni-boob like a sports bra and the straps aren't so close to my neck, but more in the area of regular bra straps. I like how you can adjust the straps and the front to 3 different positions which is great especially if you wear this right after your BA and are swollen. You can wear it on the looser setting while you're swollen and tighten it up when you're a bit smaller. It gives good cleavage too. My surgeon recommended an Under Armor Zip Front sports bra which I really don't like and it was $50! I wish I would have gotten this first but I was in a time crunch so I went to Academy and bought the Under Armor one for the surgery day. For reference, I'm 5'9. 130lbs and approx a 34D with my measurements and I ordered a Medium.UPDATE 1-26-14 The ribbon edging around the armpits are leaving marks and sore. It's not too tight so that's not the issue. It's a fabric problem. The straps also leave marks on my shoulders and are scratchy. The rest of the bra is so comfy though and has good support but I think I'm gonna send back. It's hard to find a nude post surgical bra that doesn't look like a sports bra so I guess I'm on the hunt again. I have 4 more weeks to go until I can wear a normal bra so I really need to find something I'm really comfy and satisfied with.The support this provides is great, but the hard, heavy duty elastic on the sholder straps where they hook together isn't well covered in a comfortable material and really irritated my skin around the areaUPDATE: I wore this bra overnight while the bra that I got from my surgeon was in the wash. This bra managed to dig into my ribs AND it shifted up into my incision while I slept.The incision is now red, raised and irritated where the bottom elastic band dug in.Don't take a chance.If you want a post surgical bra that is comfortable, provides adequate compression and it is sold by a vendor that provides great customer service, please look elsewhere. $50 down the drain and hurt incision.I contacted the seller requesting a refund because I didn't receive the item on time. I did NOT receive a reply from the seller and figured (correctly) that I'd be stuck with the product so I tried it on.This bra is a BEAST! (not best, beAst!) I was careful to follow the sizing chart that the manufacturer included and expected it be reasonably close (after all the size chart is shown twice and it is referenced throughout) I bought this in size 34-36 and while the band is OK (very stiff for a surgical garment but sized reasonably) the cups are insanely uncomfortable: they have this thick pleating meant to stretch out and thus accommodate a wide range of cup sizes. Other bras have this too, but in other bras the pleating is done delicately enough as to interfere and leave mark on the skin/interfere with sutures. That's not the case here. If you'be bought this for surgical recovery and find the design unwearable, I recommend stuffing the cups with non-adherent ABD pads (like they do post-op) which makes it more wearable.If you can, pass on this one and look for another alternative with hook closure (vs. zipper)The material is fantastic. It is well structured and well made. My only complaint is that the sizing was with one measurement instead of two (large, small, etc.). There is a reason there are TWO measurements in a bra. To get a cup size small enough, I had to get a smaller size, which meant the band was TOO small for me, so I had to use a bra extender. The straps also were not long enough and it was a bit too low cut. However, the straps have a hook-and-eye arrangement also, so I was able to put bra extenders there too and lengthen the straps. So in the end, the only thing I couldn't fix was the lowness of the scoop neck.If the straps were a little longer, with a little more coverage on top, and sizing was with two measurements, then it would be an fantastic bra.That may seem a lot wrong with it, but there is so much right with it too: wide sides that don't let the girls slip/bulge at the side, the wide band does not roll, and the material is SO comfortable. I wish every bra was made from this material. It is absolutely wonderful! This is truly a bra that doesn't cause pain anywhere.Needed an option where the bra and band was integrated. Found it! I had breast augmentation in January 2016, 32AA before 400 cc implants, and it was recommended that I apply pressure to my implants to provide for faster settling. I have several Carefix bras and separate band that work but the band slips and I am constantly pulling it down.I ordered the Medium as I have a 32" band and unknown cup size (somewhere between a C and DD at this point). I am wearing this the bra as I write this review and the fit is great. I am glad my stitches have healed since I notice the lower band does ride them a bit. Not a problem though. It is comfortable and really does bond well with your skin, feels almost like I am not wearing a bra at all, except for the pressure of the band. The band is the perfect width and I like that the entire band is can be used with Velcro.The only thing I would change is the ability to have Velcro on both ends, so that the band can be used left to right and vise versa. Otherwise a great buy and I would recommend, after stitches have healed.Fit is great. A little itchy around band even after washing but haven’t had it long enough to see if it hopefully goes away
