Streamlight 76816 Polystinger DS LED Flashlight with 120-Volt AC/DC Fast Charger and 1 Piggyback Holder.I needed a dual-switch (a switch at head of the light and one on the end cap) flashlight for LE work, and I wanted a rechargeable and LED light. I have used Streamlight products before, but they were all purchased by the department or company, so this was first time I had to purchased a high quality light for myself. And, being in LE, you need a really good and reliable flashlight.I had researched for about month for a small-to-medium flashlight to put in with my camping gear and wear on my duty belt, and I narrowed it down to the Pelcian LAPD LED light, Inova T4, Streamlight Stinger models. Overall, the Polystinger DS LED was the best. It has a fast charge (anything less than 3 hours is great for me), lightweight, and super bright.I choose this particular item #76816 because it meet my needs. It came with the flashlight, 1-DC (car charger) plug, 1-AC (wall charger) plug, the fast-charger with an attached piggyback charger, and 2-batteries.- Since flashlights are personal budgeted items for my department, rechargeable batteries seems to be the way to go, and in this case not only was it economical, it is also environmentally friendly--no bulbs and no expensive non-rechargeable batteries. (Replacement rechargeable batteries cost ~$15 and are good for 1,000 charges.)- I wanted a fast charger because most chargers for these kinds of flashlight genre typically takes 8-12 hours to fully charge. The fast-charger will fully charge the flashlight with ~2.5 hours.- I needed the ability to charge a second battery simultaneously, so I do not need to replace the battery in the flashlight just to have a second battery on-hand. The piggyback charger is attached to the fast-charger, so one plug will charge both battery and flashlight with battery.- I wanted a charger that I can deploy and have stationary whenever I need it for whatever purpose. With this particular item, I can charge at home and in my patrol car.- I wanted a product that wasn't going to be heavy on the duty belt, so the Polystinger was idea. (The Stingers are metal; the Polystingers are plastic--but very durable and rugged.)I have yet to be disappointed with this company or product line, and their customer service (via email) is awesome. The LED is the brightest of the three I considered to purchase: Overall it had the 2nd best recharge time (with the fast-charger, by half an hour faster than the Inova), the best brightest LED (bright enough I can see the projected light during daylight), and it had the 2nd best price on Amazon ($140 for this item#). (An added convenience is that I can use the same batteries or charge the Stringer or Polystringer that most of my co-workers use.)ADDENDUM: I don't use my flashlight too much while on duty, but two things: 1) there have been times I have used it a lot while on duty, having this particular model, I had made use of the backup battery a few times, and the fast charger once so far. 2) I had kept the flashlight off the charger for almost a month with typical usage, and could have got longer on a single charge.Streamlight 76834 PolyStinger DS LED Flashlight with NiCad Battery was purchased in 2010, and my uncle loves the gift of the ultra bright light. This particular model comes with a car and ac adapter with a dual switch. The battery last around 8-10 hours on a quick ~2.5 hours charge. The PolyStingers are a plastic like body, yet lighter to carry than the metal Stingers. It is best to do a one full charge than constantly charging these StreamLight, due to the 1,000 limit. One charge can easily last a month. If you find yourself using this light a lot, then a second battery is worth the investment.I bought this flashlight for my job in the automotive industry. I am a service manager and therefore look under the hood and under cars all day. The light is bright and the dual switches are handy. It is very lite for a flashlight that size. The only thing though is the lens. I have owned LedLenser lights before and the lens is made out of a hard material on all the ones I had. On the Ploystinger however, the lens is very thin and feels almost cheap. I haven't put it through the ringer yet, which I happen to do with all of my lights, but I am fearful that that may be a weak point. I further wish that the light would come with a holster for that price.I will be the first to admit that this is one expensive flashlight. But you would be hard up to argue that this is indeed the best flashlight you will ever own. The candle power that this little LED light can produce is amazing. The flashlight is also well designed in that the beam is concentrated to the area you are pointing it. This is a pure white light and you can even purchase adapters for the lens that will change the color of the light. The flashlight is so strong that at night you can light up the clouds. Need i say more.l love this flashlight l have drop it a dozens of times and it stills keeps on working it was worth the money l paid for it and the rechargeable batteries that comes with it this flashlight gets a [A plus ] rating from meI had the streamlight strion (NON-LED version) for work and had many problems with it. Sick of sending that back to Streamlight for repairs and decided to go with a bigger LED flashlight I found this item. I really love this light so far, sturdy and lightweight and this flashlight puts out a very bright beam.Definitely look into this package. Quick charge with piggyback to charge a SECOND battery included in this deal! Also included is a car charger plug. Definitely a great deal for the price.I trust this light with everything in me. I can always count on this light to light up when I need it to. It has a great beam floods out very nicely, incredibly durable and light. If you are in need of a flashlight that you can count on you have certainly found it. I've been using mine for over a year and still shines bright like the day I got it. I especially like the dual switch feature.I am really pleased with this flashlight. The fast charge with piggy back is the way to go. You will always have a fresh battery. The double switch is nice too. The light travels a long distance and is very bright but if you are working on something close up then you can just hold the button down and choose a lower setting. Nice flashlight, Fast shipping!!
