I have a Samoyed that suffers from separation anxiety. When he is in the standard wire crate, he rubs the fur off his head trying to get the door open.I am going to put this crate next to my bed. This way I can pet him on the head if he freaks out.I believe the 2 leashes inside are too short. They do not allow the dog to turn around. (I bought the 38 inch crate.) The leashes need to be longer for the larger crates.The mat that comes with the crate is very very thin & inadequate. I purchased an orthopedic "DogBed4Dogs bed" to place inside. It is 3 inches thick.The crate was perfect for our needs. The challenge was trying to figure out how to fold it up once assembled. The slides to release the bars were very difficult to manage. Perfect if I don’t need to travel with it and can just use it at home.We were trying to travel with the big metal crate and it was such a pain. Enter this travel crate and it's a total game changer! My dog loves it and took to it immediately. Opening and closing are super easy. We've actually replace our metal crate in our room with this for overnight and daytime crating. Sturdy and well built!Bought this as a “den” for our newly rescued dog to sleep in at night, so it’s never zipped up. I cannot attest to the sturdiness to actually using it to restrain a dog. But it is a great crate! I love the option to unzip multiple sides. It was also very easy to assemble, and it will be easy to fold down when we get to travel. We bought the Amazon basics pet bed to also go inside and it’s perfect. My one critique is that the frame is exposed on the inside. This product could be improved if there was a flap that covered the poles. The extra bed we put inside covers it though, and doesn’t seem to affect comfort for our dog.It's perfect for traveling! It's lightweight, easy to carry and functional. It made my travels with my dog so much easier.This is awesome for travelling for our two Shih Tzus. The only thing I would warn is to be careful when snapping the device in place. Twice I have placed my hand or finger on the joints and got my skin caught in it. If you avoid this, you'll love this product.The crate is really lovely and looks great however my puppy chewed the zipper and now one side can’t be closed. So it can’t really be used as a crate. It’s still okay as a bed but as one of the long sides won’t close, it’s ineffective as a crate. It was nice for the 2 weeks it lasted.Very easy to assemble, collapses to a few inches thick and does the job of kenneling a dog. I bought this one to park my loving lap dog (but unfortunately a stranger-biter) in an upstairs bedroom when we have company. I didn’t want to make a dog kennel a permanent part of the room. It slides under the bed. Works like a toddler playpen. Would make a good travel kennel as well.
