I love gadgets and having a reliable, portable flashlight on hand in the car or house is essential. I found the CYANSKY P25 to be a solid and dependable flashlight.WHAT YOU GETThis black all-aluminum flashlight is 5 ¾” long with a 1” diameter at both ends … the middle of the flashlight tapers only slightly. The unit comes with a Lithium-Ion battery, an attached solid/strong belt-clip, lanyard, canvas carrying case, extra o-ring/gaskets, charging cable (USB-C) and an instruction manual.HOW IT PERFORMSI really like the rugged durability of this flashlight … it is all-aluminum except for the rubber coated power on/off button on the one end. The light-end has an edge of about 1/8 of an inch to protect the bulb and lens. While I prefer an EDC flashlight to be crenulated on the light end (primarily so you can stand the flashlight on its face and allow some level of hands-free illumination without having the light beam aiming in one direction), this is simply a matter of personal preference. The contour of the flashlight frame and the ringed texture allow for an assured grip. The belt-clip is stiff/solid, stays in place on the flashlight and offers a good degree of tension. The seals around the lens and battery compartment are solid and support the claim of the flashlight being waterproof.I found the functions of the flashlight to work well. The on/off button is protected by a crenulated ring that also has a slot to the attached the provided lanyard. A silver aluminum button on the body of the flashlight serves as the brains of this tool. The center of the button lights-up for a few seconds when the flashlight is turned to notify the user of the battery life: a solid green light indicates the batter is 80-100% charged, flashing green=50-80%, solid red=20-50% and flashing red=less than 20%. This is certainly a nice feature that gives the user a heads-up on the state of the battery at any given moment. The button is also used to engage the four light output options as well as 3 “special” (strobe) modes. The output options can be simplified as low, medium, high and the fourth option is called “turbo”, but I do not see much, if any, difference between it and the high output mode (maybe a tiny bit, but nothing significant like the other output levels). If you turn off the flashlight and turn it back on, the light will stay on the output level last used. Holding the button with the flashlight on will trigger one of three strobe modes: slow flash, fast flash, and a combo slow/fast flash. While turning the flashlight off and on again will retain the light output level, it will cancel the strobe mode completely. I found the light output offered by this flashlight to be excellent. Low level output is still very effective and high output is blinding. The light arc is excellent. One drawback is that there is no ability to adjust the light range from wide to narrow.Even though this flashlight is waterproof, it is rechargeable, but there is no charging port on the flashlight because recharging requires removing the battery and charging it through the charging port on the battery itself. This is the first time I’ve seen a battery with a charging port built-in, as opposed to putting the battery in a designated charger. The battery itself is rather large and encompasses about 2/3 of the length of the flashlight … it also effectively delivers enough necessary heft to enhance the feeling of security when gripping the flashlight. The canvas-holster has a Velcro closure flap, a wide belt loop, and elastic sides that provide a snug fit for the flashlight. While the belt loop is long and solidly stitched, it is thin and much flimsier when compared to the rugged construction of the holster itself; the holster loosely hangs on a belt. The belt loop should be of the same canvas-like material of the holster itself to anchor the holster more securely to a belt.I feel the overall construction and function of this flashlight to be excellent. While there are some oddities (like the direct charging battery) and it is not crenulated on the light end, I really appreciated the solid feel, rugged build, ease-of-use, and battery level notification. Nothing about this flashlight (other than the belt loop on the holster) feels “cheap”.Review is for CYANSKY P25 V2.0 3600 Lumens Tactical Flashlight,USB-C Rechargeable LED FloodlightAs a Vine member, I have the ability to review these type of flashlights so that you don't have to buy it just to see if the Lumen claims are valid. 3600 Lumens. Wow. They aren't kidding around with this flashlight....DO NOT LET THE SMALL SIZE FOOL YOU...this thing is legit. The beam is white with an even pattern across the whole beam, so no "bright" spots. Non zoom. Compact design. Super light. SUPER BRIGHT! I don't know if its a full 3600 Lumens, since I do not have a meter to measure, BUT having said this...it is by FAR the brightest flashlight that I currently own on the "turbo" setting. When I ordered this, I was thinking....with these super bright flashlights now a days, you almost NEED a low lumen flashlight to use for everyday kind of stuff, but not this one. On the lowest setting it is still bright, but just perfect to use for times you don't need eyeball baking brightness. Love that. This flashlight gets pretty "toasty" when on Turbo mode, so keep that in mind. Wow, is it bright. Very well constructed with loads of accessories. Love the holder that you can use on your belt. Operation. There are two switches...you use the tail switch for momentary turn on...push and hold. To turn on and stay on, push all the way until it clicks, then with the other switch on the side, you can push to change selections. Me? I would rather have had the top button be able to use as a momentary on switch, then the tail switch for stay on, which would then put the top button into change brightness mode, but you can easily adjust to this, so its not a deal breaker by any means. No Zoom, but really even beam spread, very nice. This is super light as compared to every other flashlight I own, and it is the brightest. Wow. I am impressed with this one. Charging. Now this is interesting. It comes with USB-C charging cable, but....ok, where do you plug it into the flashlight to charge? YOU DON'T! The included batter is a CYANSKY branded 5000mAH 21700 3.6v 18Wh. WITH A USB CHARGING SLOT BUILT INTO IT! On the + end, you can see a charging light that will go green when fully charged. Just so happens my external charger can't take 21700 batteries, so not sure if I like this way to charge a battery, so know this going in. 18650 batteries are too short to use in this flashlight, and 26650s are too big....so if you want spare batteries, make sure you have a charger that can take the 21700 batteries. This flashlight is so bright and well made, I won't take off any stars for this. It is pricey, but you are getting a super high quality light, in an extremely small size. Wow, this thing is bright. It puts all my other flashlights to shame!
