So first of all, I didn't pay attention to the ETRTO differences between the 27.5" and 29" versions of this tire. In 29", the casing comes in at just under 2.3" width. I know from personal experience that the 27.5" version is a true 2.35 casing. I'm not sure why Maxxis did this, but this tire is still fantastic for aggressive XC riding.As a front tire, I paired it with a fast rolling 2.25 rear and I'm very pleased with what I've experienced after a week of riding in the Fall. The tire is gripping just as well as my 2.3" DHRII front tire, is rolling faster, and is ever so slightly lighter as well. I'm going to push this as far as I can into the fall as more and more leaves continue to accumulate on the ground. Wish I would've tried this tire sooner. Hopefully Maxxis offers their newer Forekaster in narrower casings somewhere in the future.
