It fits well in your pocket and has a decent clip that seems like it will stand the test of time. It is incredibly bright and the battery seems to meet the manufacturers claims. Feels solid and well made. The best thing is the fact that it charges with a USB cable. No special charger and you can pretty much find a USB port anywhere. I really like the light.Best flashlight that I have ever purchased! Love me some Streamlight!I first bought the 850 lumen version of this flashlight and liked it so much I bought this one!This flashlight is The Truth! All of the comments that you’re reading about the light not working after a few uses and the full charge indicator not working ARE USER ERRORS! I experienced the same exact issues as some of the previous reviewers but unlike those persons who thought, oh my gosh, my $100 buck flashlight doesn’t work and is a piece of garbage, I checked all of the loose ends to ensure that the cap was screwed on tightly and what do ya know, THE LIGHT WORKED AND STAYED ON!In regard to the light not turning green to indicate a full charge, I Guarantee you that the people complaining about the full charge indicator not coming on didn’t read the instructions and instead charged the flashlight using an adapter of some type instead of the usb connector. I did the exact same thing and received a constant red light but as soon as I followed the Instructions and placed the flashlight on a usb cable only, The Light Turned Green! This is a great flashlight and it’s already proven it’s worth. I was in the middle of a power outage last night while visiting my family and using this flashlight, I was able to light up their entire front room long enough to repair their generator and get the house lights back on. I have Zero complaints about this light. Just follow the instructions and illuminate the world!I use this light for security duty. It’s a little large for EDC, but for my purpose it’s fine. With cargo or tactical pants it Carries easily. Brightness is great when needed, and I usually find myself using the lower setting for normal use. After a month of considerable use, I have charged it once. The button is very positive and the clip is very secure. I feel like it’s a good value and I enjoy carrying it.I received the flashlight in a timely manner and charged it as instructed. The flashlight worked perfectly fine the first time I used it during a nighttime search. However, after the second time, my flashlight kept turning off every 10-30 seconds. FYI, it was NOT on the strobe mode. I attempted to turn it on again and it completely went off on me. The flashlight became defective afterward. For tactical reasons and safety purposes, I cannot rely on this flashlight. Sad to have spent this amount of money on a flashlight I was hoping to use out in the field.I do not foresee any issue with flashlight. StreamLight makes a great product. Just be aware I clicked on the buy all 3 combo for a battery and a holster are the holster advertised is wrong and will not fit the Protack HL. Called Amazon and they confirmed it is the incorrect holster.This light is nothing short of amazing. I purchased it because we were going out of the country to a destination where crime had been on the rise and I wanted something that would be legal to travel with on the plane as well as the destination. I also wanted something that would deter/prevent an encounter rather than defend - and boy this was it. Long story short, we stayed in a rather large villa on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The nearest place to us was about 300 yards away up a hill. On the last day we started noticing that items were going missing and that night we came back to find a window opened that we knew we had secured. Thankfully there were many of us to go in two groups to search the villa to be sure no one was hiding. After we were sure there were no uninvited guests we began to unwind and, about two hours later, a person in our group went to their room upstairs to get something and when they came back down they happened upon two men with shirts wrapped around their heads going through a purse that was left out. That person screamed for help and the men ran out the door. We all ran upstairs and called the police. In two hours the police arrived (was pretty lax kind of place) and they looked around the house. I followed the one cop outside and he pulled out a flashlight to see if anyone was hiding in the shrubs/thick that surrounded the villa. It was a substandard light. As he was squinting to see only 50 ft away I pulled out my light and lit the entire area like a ballpark. Stunned, he turned around, looked at me then my light and, with an approving nod said, "nice light". We scanned the rest of the property and concluded the burglars were hiding on the one hillside and waited until we were all on the lower level before sneaking in. I don't know about anyone else, but I wasn't going to bed and three of us stayed up and talked until sunrise - and we scanned the property from a high vantage point in the villa every 10 minutes or so. Whoever was out there, wasn't about to come back and we felt much better with this kind of ability to light up the area at hand. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who may be subjected to this scenario. On top of that it's just a great tool to have and the fun hasn't stopped there although this event was the time it was needed the most - and hopefully the last! Only problem I have had was when something in my backpack compressed the top of the holster where the actuating button was and kept it on in my bag. The heat from the light burned a home through the bottom of the holster, but caused no other damage - so be careful when storing - not because of the damaged holster, but because I would not have had a charge to use the light when needed had I not discovered the battery was fully discharged. GREAT PRODUCT!Quite disappointing, shortly after one year the battery no longer holds a charge!!This flashlight is only used maybe one dozen times throughout the year, that's all.Possibly either the manufacturer or supplier could contact me back in regards to a battery replacement.Je l’adore pour le travail!
