Original Samsung DC98-01877A Packing Pump Assembly Replacement Part - Compatible with Washing Machines for Efficient Water Drainage

This part is a replacement for the original drain pump assy that was mounted on the bottom of the washer tub. As many others have noted that location is subject to intense vibration and eventually the plastic pump housing cracks and the pump pulls away from the tub - allowing all the water in the tub to drain on the floor. The replacement pump mounts on the base of the washer and connects to the tub and drain hose with flexible rubber hoses. My washer already had the new mounting location in the base built into the frame. It's pretty obvious that Samsung knew the tub mounted pump was failing and designed the washer base to accept a different pump - yet continued to install the tub mounted pump - probably until the inventory was used up. Thanks Samsung. This is in addition to the issue with the washer top exploding off with heavy loads (bedding) and the tub vibrating out of balance due to weak suspension rods. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance.The replacement pump can be installed fairly easily if you take the back off the washer and tilt it forward. I did not use the wiring harness included with the kit and instead simply plugged the existing wire leads into the new pump. I connected up the flexible hoses to the tub and the drain hose. It works perfect. I hope this is the last design flaw repair that I will need on this washer.
