Marena LGLFM Missy Lipedema Post-Surgical Girdle with FlexFit Comfort Ankle - 17-20 mmHg Medical Compression Garment for Women (2XS-2XL) - Ideal for Post-Surgery Recovery & Lymphedema Management

I have purchased two Marena compression items in the past and they fit me better than other brands. Their garments use quality materials and have the stretch I needed coupled with the compression.I ordered this set because I had upcoming abdominal surgery, a laparotomy for endometriosis. The last time I had a laparoscopy for my endometriosis the Marena compression made my life a lot easier.I will say that when I ordered, I didn't notice that the inner "area" so to speak had a cut-out for easier restroom use. I will say that did not take advantage of this easy access. It wasn't because I didn't want to use the hole, it was because I wore this with underwear underneath. I know I know - it is made to wear in place of underwear. I am funny about different textures and materials. With pantyhose, I still wear underwear. I just have to. Yes, this meant that I had to take them off when I went to use the restroom. Every.single.time. What made it especially fun is that post-surgery I was on Lasix which is a diuretic and Lasix makes you have to use the ladies' room often. Very often. At least twice an hour. Fun Times.Still, this didn't make me want to cave and use the hole. I held strong and didn't. I am telling you all this because I was very happy with the "up and down and up and down" of this compression set. I wasn't squeezed into it so tight that I couldn't take it off easily. This says a lot about the Marena product. Other compression sets I had difficulty getting on my body because they were so tight. I would have to lay on the bed to pull them up.The feet area was longer on me - I am 5' 3" - I just pulled the feet part down down and folded the fabric back over my foot. Simple fix. Nothing ever fits me because of my short stature. I have learned how to "make do" over the years. If you are too short - just fold the extra fabric over your foot.There are ankle marks on this set - just line up the ankle where your ankle is supposed to be and pull the waist up as far as you can. It will all work out.I do have Lipedema. I should have continued to wear this after I recovered from surgery. I plan to. In fact, I will put it back on in the morning and see how well it works for my lipedema and I will come back and edit this in a few weeks with an update.As far as the use for post-surgery swelling - the compression is 5 out of 5 stars. No one likes having to wear items like this - but when you do Marena items make the process much easier. Well worth the price point.I was not confident enough (and never will be) to take a photo of me wearing this.
