Description

Established in 2015, Anygig was designed and created by our team with the idea of keeping the essentials that make a guitar but in a more compact and travel friendly design. By using full size hardware and keeping a full size scale length on the instrument, we have designed travel guitars to date. The body of each Anygig is made with solid hardrock maple which gives you great stability if traveling to different climate situations as well as giving you the option of a maple or rosewood fingerboard, we create options for you to get the sound you want. Create anytime, anywhere! The Anygig Travel Guitar is designed to go wherever life takes you. Small enough to take on planes, trains and automobiles. Take it everywhere so you are ready when inspiration strikes! What makes Anygig the leader in travel guitars? When we were designing the Anygig core model, our main focus was to keep it simple, balanced, portable, and most of all, play great. Most travel guitars have a shorter scale length than normal. This in turn can change the way you play or even limit the sound of the instrument. The Anygig has a full 25.5" scale just like your guitar at home so no transition is needed to get use to. Ok, right out of the box I was pretty disappointed. The strings were about 1/2 inch off the fretboard, and it was hard to tune till playable. Fortunately it did come with an allen wrench for the truss rod. A little tweaking there got the neck fairly straight. The bridge is adjustable so it just took one full turn each side to bring it down some. Once those minor tweaks were done, it tuned up and played great up and down all 24 frets! Pretty close action with no fret buzz. The strings that came on it seem pretty cheap, so that's the next thing to be changed. Playing it is great. It's a little awkward to hold, but plays very well. It's actually very bright and resonant and can be played without amplification. Not for a performance, but for practice in a quiet room, it has more than enough volume. The tuners are a little confusing since they are in a weird position, but I'm getting used to it. The padded case is pretty nice and protects it well. Mine is finished well with no fret sprout or any other obvious problems. It came with a small metal bracket and some screws that look like it might be so you can play it on your lap better, but it's not clear how it goes on. Their website calls it an "armrest bone", whatever that is. There are no instructions at all with it, but none were really needed. Overall I'm pretty impressed and very happy with my purchase.
