I give it 5 stars for its quality and the way you can take it apart to fit in your trunk. You can always take the original model cut it in half and make it yourself. But this saves you time and effort. For nearly the same price it's a no brainer. If your using this on the beach... It is great in the dry sand and can get targets pretty quickly. But the wet sand is a different story. Even with the big holes it is hard to shake out. One of these buckets full of wet sand is like 50lbs! So it takes a bit of effort! Now if your in the water it makes no difference! As you just shake back and fourth in the water and your good. I wish it came like the other model with the handle down by the bucket but that's an easy fix as well. Just drill tap and put the handle from your angle grinder on it. It's great for its intended use. In the water. If your planning on detecting just the beach.... You might be better off getting a t-Rex or a scoop like it. Different people have different taste. If your basing your purchase off reviews then I would tell you to go to a detector shop and look at scoops in person... Hold them and even test it out as most shops that I know won't mind. Then you will be able to judge what kind you want. And or if you can handle or want to carry the extra weight around. I like it a lot! Best scoop I have at the moment.
