They are recommended in the applications that require anchoring to the ground. Equipment can be mounted to the top through the threaded metal bushing of the isolator. Elastomeric body of the mount will prevent metal to metal contact with the ground not allowing the vibration to travel. Base of this rubber isolator has 2 mounting holes for fastening the whole structure to the floor and prevent moving or wobbling. These anti-vibration rubber mounts are designed for installation on applications with continuous and intermittent loads. Elastomeric bodies of the isolators are build with increased ability to deflect to absorb the vibration waves. These antivibration mounts come in large variety of load capacities, from 25 lbs to 1,000 lbs. FMD vibration dampers can have limited use in shear load application. It is recommended that shear load is not exceeding 10% of the listed compression load listed in the table below.
